Waking up at 5 o clock in the morning was quite vexing as we had worked diligently the previous day. Reaching our respective venues after a bumpy ride on the school bus was not short of amazement.
In Raisina, we had a lot of challenges waiting for us and no matter what we had to confront them with all our strength. From painting the schools’ front gate to leveling the mud was an exhausting task. The blazing sun became a barrier to our hard work but a dip in a swimming pool was what we deserved and it awaited us at school. Our team spirit was enhanced when we were divided into two groups with two leaders’ Vikram and Avinash, as inspirational leaders. Sometimes the work became monotonous but we had playback music to keep us engrossed in our work.
In Hariyahera, we started with the painting of the swings and the water tank. It was hard for us to work under the hot sun which was up before we could start with the breakfast. Passing bricks in a chain formation and sand was another thing the boys and girls did together to work as a team. Soon we had to leave to leave for school as the sun become hotter.
Coming back was relaxing and the swimming refreshed us all. After a delicious lunch, we rested and soon went for the activities (Design & Technology and/or Visual Art)
Leveling mud and bricks, moving them from one place from one place to another was what we again continued forward. We took a sigh of relief as the sun was setting. It was a pleasant time to work.
But the day could not end without celebrating the big event- Mr. Kartikeya’s birthday!! Relishing ourselves with a black forest cake was a moment to cherish. Moving on to the reflection session which was held at AMAZON, Mr. Guru surely did not leave a chance of embarrassing us with the unexpected photos clicked by him, captures which will never be forgotten.
So the day ended with a round of laughter and applause for Mr. Guru. The girls and the boys retired to their respective residing places, Danube for the girls and Amazon for the boys. After the milk, we wished each other goodnight, went to bed and prepared ourselves for the next big day to come!
