A lovely day dawned upon us. The sun was up in the sky and it looked as though we were to be drenched in sweat
It was a seemingly perfect day for us to work, after spending 4 long days under the sweltering heat of the summer sun at our two schools Raisina and Hariyahera schools. We toiled for about 5 hours and as we returned, we all took a well-deserved nap in the bus.
As the sun reached it its zenith, we settled in for a dip in the school’s pool and then went for an appetizing lunch followed by our routine activities; with one group trying their hands at pottery and the other finishing off their handmade wooden products. After 45 minutes, we swapped sides and went for the other activity.
Stopping only for a few refreshments, we were once again on our way to the two schools for our respective service projects. After 3 hours of shifting sand, bricks, cement, gravel and a whole lot of painting, we stumbled on our worn and tired feet back to our buses to return to the bliss of our dormitory at Pathways.
Having about 45 minutes to rest, we had our dinner and went our daily reflection session with an interesting discussion and inspiring ideas put forward by students and teachers alike. We then said goodbye to another day to this wonderful, scintillating opportunity that has been bestowed upon us with its enchanting and enrapturing moments.
